What sets the series apart

Open, unpressurised, light.

A LIN dewar stores liquid nitrogen at atmospheric pressure. Nothing builds up, nothing needs a valve: you pour, dip or draw with a withdrawal device. That makes it the lightest and simplest way to keep nitrogen in the lab. The 3 nitrogen series of the range, drawn to scale:

Two versions, one dewar

Every size comes as a standard dewar. 5 sizes also come as a T model with a reinforced body for regular transport. The letter at the end of the model name tells you which one.

Standard · AC LIN3 to AC LIN50For carrying and distributing nitrogen in the building. Lowest evaporation.
T model · AC LIN20T to AC LIN100TReinforced for regular transport in a vehicle. Slightly higher evaporation and weight.

What the numbers mean in daily use.

Evaporation sets the pace

The evaporation rate is the nitrogen the dewar loses at rest, in litres per day. Divide the capacity by it and you get the holding time. Every opening and every withdrawal shortens it.

Holding time is a nominal value

The holding times on this page are nominal values from the 2026 data sheet, measured without a storage system. In daily use the value can differ. Plan your refill interval with a buffer.

Filled weight counts

Liquid nitrogen weighs 0.81 kg per litre. The AC LIN30 weighs 12.9 kg empty and about 37 kg filled (calc.). From 35 litres up, plan a roller base or a trolley.

Dipper or withdrawal device

Small dewars are poured or dipped. From 20 litres a withdrawal device with a hose draws nitrogen without lifting the dewar. Both are in the accessories finder.
